(The Grenada Sentinel, April 21, 1900, reported that the “much talked about and long-expected railroad between Grenada and Parsons Station is now an assured fact.” The new branch put Grenada in direct communication with the Delta and provided another route to Yazoo City, Jackson, New Orleans and other places.
