(Continuing with the events of the Central Fair and Live Stock Association of 1889, the first in Grenada, we note that a distinguished newspaper reporter from New Orleans, Mrs. Mattie Field, was in attendance. Mrs. Field was one of the earliest professional women newspaper reporters and wrote under the pen name of Catherine Cole.
