The Grenada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday morning, March 27, on Minga Road in the Ligon Estates area.
The victim has been identified as Marston D. Jones, 48, of Grenada. Deputies said the suspect, Tyjuan M. Jones, 22, also of Grenada, was taken into custody without incident in connection to the shooting.

Tyjuan Jones is currently being held at the Grenada County Jail on charges of first-degree Murder and Aggravated Assault. His bond has been set at $1 million.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released at a later date.
“All persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” Chief Deputy Ricky Williamson II concluded.
