Mistakes cost GHS Lady Chargers in 3-2 loss

In close games, it usually comes down to a few plays that determines which team wins and loses. That was the case last Friday night in the Class 6A, Region 1 game for the Grenada High School Lady Chargers varsity softball team and South Panola at Lady Charger Field.

GHS tennis advances players to state

The Grenada High School tennis team opened postseason play last Tuesday at Snowden Grove Park in Southaven for the Class 6A, Region 1 Tournament. Individuals were competing for berths in the State Tournament, which is scheduled for late April in Vicksburg.

Kirk tennis wins matches

The Kirk Academy tennis team opened its season on March 17 one day after the scheduled start was delayed due to weather.
In the opener, KA won a 6-3 decision over North Delta School in Batesville on March 17 and followed that with a 6-3 win at West Memphis (Ark.).
