Grenada man cuffed on drug possession charges

A Grenada man awaits the action of the Montgomery County Grand Jury on five felony charges.

Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Tompkins said Edrick House, 30, of Grenada, was arrested May 2 after his deputies were conducting a routine safety checkpoint. He said the checkpoint was conducted on Highway 51 near Branscome Road in Duck Hill.

Duck Hill families frustrated about road

The road is not being maintained because it’s not the town’s responsibility nor the town’s road, according to Duck Hill’s board attorney Adam Kirk.
