Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Willie Mae Kirk Roark, 87, of Winona, who died on Thursday, Jan. 18, at her residence. Burial followed in Shiloh Cemetery. The Rev. Ed McDaniel officiated. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday, Jan. 21, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Willie was born on Dec. 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Denzil “Skeet” Harris and the late Jimmie Mae Kirk. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 59 years, Perry Lamar Roark, and her sister, Joan Hodges, preceded Willie in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Delmer Melton (Chet) of Holcomb, Patricia Smith (Mac) of Starkville and Sherri Swindle (Mike) of Hernando; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and one nephew.
