Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Steve Edward Green, 62, of Grenada, who died on Friday, Feb. 23, in Grenada. Burial followed in Providence Cemetery. The family received friends from noon until service time on Monday, Feb. 26, at McKibben and Guinn.
Steve was born on Dec. 6, 1961, in Tupelo, the son of the late Robert Andrew and the late Nancy Ethel Kincade Green. He had worked as a cabinet maker all of his life and had also served as a minister in the Church of God.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Joey Green and Harry Green, preceded Steve in death.
Survivors include, Trudy Morrison Green; daughters, Sidney Samples (Justin) of Grenada and Sharon Smith (Randy) of Carroll County; sons, Glen Green (Chariti) of Grenada and Hank Hood (Macie) of Temple, Texas; sister, Nancy Tilghman (George Henson) of Grenada; one brother, Allen Green (Sharon) of Duck Hill and 10 grandchildren, Steve Green, Madilyn Green, Micah Samples, Noahlynn Samples, Silas Hood, Megan Costilow, J.D. Costilow, John Conner, Hunter Dickson and Jacob Dickson.
