Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at Elliott Church of Christ for Robert Lee White, 84, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in Jackson. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at Mortimer National Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Robert was born on Dec. 20, 1938, in Carroll County, the son of the late John Lee White and the late Mary Ellen Carroll White. He retired from Grenada Manufacturing where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Grenada Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, his brother, William Earl White, and one grandson, John “Bubba” Flanagan, preceded Robert in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Sylvia Berryhill White; daughter, Kathy Flanagan; son, Chris White; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
