Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Mr. James Kelly “Tody” Downs, 83, of Elliott, who died on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in Grenada. Burial followed in Duck Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Downs was born on Nov. 28, 1940, in Carroll County, the son of the late James Stephens and the late Agnes “Lizzy” Ramage Downs. He was a retired employee of Lenox in Grenada.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Ruby Rose Downs, preceded Mr. Downs in death.
Survivors include, his son, Johnny Kelly Downs of Texas; brothers, Glenn Downs of Vaiden and Ricky Downs of Vaiden, and three grandchildren.
