Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Cowart Baptist Church in Charleston for Julia Coker Denman, 81, of Charleston, who died on Tuesday, May 9. Burial followed in Charleston Cemetery. The Rev. Ed McDaniel and the Rev. Paul Blanchard officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday, May 12, at the church.
Judy was born on Feb. 12, 1942, the daughter of the late Lorena Haynes Coker and the late W. Coker. She was a member of Cowart Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, one son, Stuart Graham Denman III; her sister, Jeanette Barnes, and her brother, Wesson Coker, preceded Judy in death.
Survivors include, her husband of 60 years, Stuart Graham Denman Jr.; daughters, Ann Denman Reynolds (Eddie Reynolds) of Charleston, Susan Denman of Charleston and Rena Denman Montgomery (Michael) of Olive Branch; one son, Joe Denman (Dee) of Iuka; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
