Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the chapel of Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood for Brenda Winters Lassett, 65, who died on Tuesday, May 2, at her residence. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Bro. Kerry Owen officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, May 6, at Williams and Lord.
Mrs. Lassett was born on Aug. 2, 1957, in Sunflower County, the daughter of the late James and the late Mary Ellen Winters. She was a former employee of Hickok-Supreme Electronics.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James David Lassett; her son, Ronald Reed; one daughter Amanda Dawn Lassett; one sister, Barbara Reed, and her brother, James Carson Winters, preceded Mrs. Lassett in death.
Survivors include, one daughter, Ashley Woods (Michael) of Grenada; one sister, Sherry Goss (Wendell) of Avalon; special sister-in-law, Kim Winters of Carrollton; special brother-in-law, Lou Reed of Carrollton; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chris Reed, Trey Winters, Brandon Reed, Cody Goss, Colton Reed and Eric Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers were El Ray Dean and Eric Hopkins.
