A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Hazel Ann Garrett, 82, of Gore Springs, who died on Saturday, June 24, in Grenada.
Mrs. Garrett was born on Sept. 12, 1940, in Ellisville, the daughter of the late Louis Edward and the late Katherine Ester Montgomery Clark. She worked as an LPN at Bolivar County Hospital in Cleveland. She was a member of the Grenada Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her parents, one daughter, Tammy Washburn; one sister, Flora Ferguson, and her brothers, Lewis Clark and Loyd Clark, preceded Mrs. Garrett in death.
Survivors include, her husband, James Garrett; one daughter, Ginger Asbury of Gore Springs; her sons, Richard Washburn of Louisiana and James Garrett Jr. and Bobby Clark, both of Southaven; 12 grandchildren, Jessica Washburn, Chris Washburn, Courtney Garrett, Trey Garrett, Chucky Garrett, Meagan Clark, Matt Clark, Stephanie Smith, Melanie Ingle, Mallory Ingle, James Bell and Terri Page; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Katherine Kappell of Wisconsin.
