An Appreciation Gala was held last Tuesday for the Friends of the Boys and Girls Club of Grenada.
Last Tuesday, at JAS Cuff Event Venue, The Boys and Girls Club honored their friends with a gala to say thank you for all they had done over the past year.
“These Kids are our future,” Mike Nabors Boys and Girls Club board member said. “Without your donations and support, these children wouldn’t have this available to them. Thank you for your continued support for these children.”
Over the past year, local businesses have donated more than $68,000 to the club.
A Mississippi State Cowbell signed by Mike Leech and a Mississippi State Football signed by Emmanuel Forbes Jr. both were auctioned off. The auction of the two items raised $800 for the Boys and Girls Club at Tuesday night’s event.
“ The Club is so thankful for our friends who donate and support us throughout the year,” Judy Dehart Boys and Girls Club board member concluded. “A special thank you to JAS Cuff Event Venue, for donating your place for us to hold the event, and another special thank you to Grenada School District Americorps, The Grenada Star, Zip Print – Mrs. Tammy Evans, Mr. Mike Cox, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Collins, Mr. Bill Daly, and Mr. Moe Hubbard. We appreciate you all.”
