Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for the Rev. William Ladell “Bro. Dale” Strickland Sr., 74, of Kilmichael, who died on Saturday, Feb. 10, in Eupora. Burial will follow in Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church Cemetery near Kilmichael. The Rev. Ben Hill and the Rev. Brad Latham will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Bro. Dale was born on May 14, 1949, in Eupora, the son of the late John Dallas and the late Rillie Bradshaw Strickland. He was a member of Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Alice Rodgers, and one niece, preceded Bro. Dale in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 45 years, Evelyn Ferguson Strickland of Kilmichael; daughter, Amanda Strickland Dean (Bill) of Eupora; son, William Ladell “Willie” Strickland Jr. (Aimee) of Hammond, La.; one sister, Sarah Box of Eupora; brother, John Strickland (Alice) of Houston; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
