The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District is currently accepting bids for property leasing at Arkabutla, Grenada and Enid lakes.
According to the USACE, these properties will be leased for crops, highly erodible lands, pasture, hay and grazed woods purposes.
Bids will be opened at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 the District headquarter. There will be no in-person bidding and all bids must be mailed.
Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked and addressed as follows:

No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a deposit in an amount equal to and not less than 50 percent or more of the annual rental offered to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a written lease agreement. The deposit must be in the form of a bank check, official check, money order or cashier’s check, payable to “FAO, USACE.” The deposit of the successful bidder will be retained by the government to apply against payment of the balance of the annual rental offered.
