The Mississippi State University Extension Office and the Mississippi Food Network have teamed up with Grenada County to host a Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, the MSU Extension Grenada office will host its inaugural drive-thru food drive.
“We are very excited to have The Mississippi Food Network joining us here for the morning,” MSU Extension office Agent Jan Walton said. “We will have enough to feed 500 families.”
According to the MSU Extension office, families are asked to bring any identification with their name and Grenada County address. They will only accept two families per vehicle.
The drive-thru will be held at the MSU Extension Office located at 50 E. Pecan St. Line up will begin at 9:30 a.m. and motorists are asked to enter Jackson Avenue. by the National Guard building. The Grenada County Sheriffs Office will be on hand to help direct traffic.
This event is free and open to the public. Resources will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last.
