A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Tommy Dean Thompson, 62, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, March 6, at his residence. The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, March 9, at the funeral home.
Tommy was born on Oct. 11,1961, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of L. Dean and Shirley Ann Saine Thompson. He was retired owner of TLC Marine and former plant manager of Grenada Coatings. Tommy loved to hunt, fish and spend time with friends and family, and was always a true Texan at heart.
The love of his life, Lori Alford Thompson, preceded Tommy in death.
Survivors include, his parents, Dean and Shirley Thompson; brother, Matt Thompson (Christy) of Quanah, Texas; niece, Taylee Thompson, and nephew, Tanner Thompson, both of Quanah, Texas, brother, Terry Thompson of San Angelo, Texas; two nephews, Dillon Thompson and Tim Thompson, two great nieces, two great nephews and a multitude of dear family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Grenada Adoration Hospice.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his fishing and hunting Buddies.
