A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, in Greeneville, Tenn., for Teresa Anne (Pryor, Allen) Brooks, 71, of Greeneville, Tenn., who died on Saturday, Sept. 30, due to complications from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Originally from Grenada, Teresa worked in various administrative capacities before becoming a high school business teacher, serving at Cumberland County High School in Crossville, Tenn., Grenada High School and South Panola High School in Batesville. She was a lifelong follower of Jesus and a dedicated volunteer in many churches throughout the southeast. She was relentlessly supportive of her family and a constant source of stability for her children and grandchildren. Since 2015, she has resided in Greeneville, Tenn., and has been an active member at First Baptist in Greeneville.
Survivors include, her husband, Ray Brooks; her three sons, Jeff Allen, Chris Allen and Michael Allen; a stepdaughter, Nikki Hargett; three grandsons, Daniel Allen, Barrett Allen and Elijah Allen; two step grandchildren, Chad Hargett and Eva Grace Johnson; two sisters, Ellen Robbins and Evelyn Pipkin; a niece, Cher Jones; two nephews, Aron Ayers and Mark Robbins, and three step siblings, Gary Robbins, Robert Robbins and Carrie Lynn Gregg.
