A manhunt is underway for two inmates that escaped from the Grenada County Jail early Monday morning.

Grenada County Sheriff Rolando Fair identified the inmates as 59-year-old Claude Terry Slaughter and 28-year-old Jonathan Wayne Miller.

GCSWCD Arbor Day tree giveaway this Friday

The Grenada County Soil and Water Conservation District will observe Arbor Day by giving away tree seedlings Friday morning.

The giveaway will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, behind the USDA Service Center Building located at 2330 Sunset Dr.
