Arrests: Aug.12-21

The docket at the Grenada County Jail shows the following arrests from Friday Aug. 12 through Sunday, Aug. 21. An arrest does not mean the accused is guilty. U.S. citizens are presumed innocent until proved guilty in court.

Mississippi fuel prices continue to decrease

Average gasoline prices in Mississippi have fallen 9.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.39/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,014 stations in Mississippi. Prices in Mississippi are 51.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 63.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, in the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada for Patti Hipp Triplett, 64, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Aug. 20, at her residence. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Wednesday, Aug.
