Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Peggy Sue Patton Grant, 90, of Duck Hill, who died on Saturday, Oct. 15, in Grenada. Burial will follow in Duck Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Eugene Heimbach will officiate.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Ms. Phyllis Jane Simmons McNabb Durham, 73, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, Oct. 13, at her residence. Burial followed in Red Hill Cemetery near Duck Hill. The Rev. Reuben Cole officiated.

CPR training kits available to schools

The Metro Jackson American Heart Association, with support of the Mississippi Healthcare Alliance, is collaborating with the Mississippi Fire Academy to fill an urgent CPR training need. Every public high school in Mississippi, more than 240 in number, is eligible to receive CPR in Schools Training Kit.

The docket at the Grenada County Jail shows the following arrests from Monday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 9. An arrest does not mean the accused is guilty. U.S. citizens are presumed innocent until proved guilty in court.
