Grenada City Council OKs Airport Rescue Grant

The Grenada City Council held its first meeting of 2022 on Jan. 18 taking action on five of the six items on the agenda. The sixth item on the agenda was scheduled to be a discussion or approval of the water rate structure, was moved to a special-called meeting on Monday night by councilmen.

Lady Charges’ defense squashes Oxford, 35-17

The Grenada Lady Chargers had a chance to do something that hasn’t been accomplished in recent memory – sweeping the season series from the Oxford Lady Chargers. Last Friday, the teams squared off at Grenada in the second matchup this season between the members of Class 6A, Region 2.

Grenada soccer teams close year with wins

Pro-Life Prayer Vigil held

The Northwest Mississippi Pro-life District 1 hosted a Candlelight Prayer Vigil last Saturday at the cross. It was held on the 49th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
