Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona for Mrs. Stacey Lucas Beissel, 50, of Grenada, formerly of Winona, who died on Monday, Dec. 16, at her residence. Burial followed in Winona Garden of Memory. Dr. Kevin Jackson, the Rev. Brad Latham and Mr. Richard Flautt officiated. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Stacey was born in Grenada on June 13, 1974, the daughter of Luke and Faye Lucas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada. She graduated from Winona High School in 1992, and continued her education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Stacey was a compassionate nurse. She served all of her patients with love, dignity and respect. She adored her children and supported them in all their activities. She also loved her cats, Nikki and Motley. Stacey enjoyed listening to music, working in the yard, taking trips with her family and just being outside.
Her aunt, Gail Rodgers, and brother-in-law, Cody Davis, preceded Stacey in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Dr. Canon Beissel of Grenada; daughter, Abby Beissel of Grenada; two sons, Luke Beissel and Chandler Beissel, both of Grenada; parents, Luke and Faye Lucas of Winona; sister, Gwen Davis of Winona; nieces, Rana Paige Davis and Piper Davis, both of Winona; cousins, Stan Rodgers (Heather) of Winona and Lake Rodgers (Mape) of Birmingham, Ala., and uncle, Norton Rodgers of Winona.
Pallbearers were Hap Brister, Chris Hathcock, Adam Kirk, Coley Bailey, Rodney Defenbaugh and Dwight Jones.
