Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Rosalie Woods, 94, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Feb. 11, in Louisville. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Trent Jaudon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at McKibben and Guinn.
Rosalie was born on May 17, 1929, in Grenada. She and her husband owned and operated a convenience store in Duck Hill, and she later opened Recollections Antiques. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Attending auctions and collecting antiques were among her favorite things to do. Most of all, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Her mother, Lora Mae Bell, and her husband, James Winston Woods, preceded Rosalie in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Jamie Morgan (Dan) of Hernando; two sons, Andy Woods (Melania) of Flowood and Terry Woods (Shalon) of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson, Andrea Morgan, Dana Rice, Sarah Woods, Brooklyn Woods, James Louis Woods and Hunter McElroy and five great grandchildren, Colin Rice, Jacob Rice, Ellis Thompson, Owen Thompson and Lillian Thompson.
Hunter McElroy, Colin Rice, Ellis Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Owen Thompson and Ben Woods will honor Mrs. Woods by serving as pallbearers and will carry her to rest in the Red Hill Cemetery.
