Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, in Holcomb Cemetery for Mr. Ronald Louis Mullen, 79, of Holcomb, who died on Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Grenada. The Rev. Tim Winters officiated.
Ronnie was born on July 28, 1944, in Grenada, the son of the late Louis and the late Juanita “Nita” Lott Mullen. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for four years. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Ronnie worked at McQuay in Grenada for as long as his health allowed. He lived with his parents in Holcomb until their deaths in 2008. After their deaths, his niece, Julie Grace, and her husband, C.W. Taylor, took care of “Uncle A.”
In addition to his parents, his grandparents, Louie and Fannie Carpenter Lott and Amzie and Susie Clark Mullen, preceded Ronnie in death.
Survivors include, his brother, Mike Mullen and his wife, Brenda, of Holcomb; niece, Julie Taylor and her husband, C.W., of Holcomb; two nephews, Chris Mullen and his wife, Brooke, of Holcomb and Dustin Mullen and his wife, Kim, of Grenada; great nieces and nephews, Amsie Grace and Curt Michael Taylor, Shelby Greer (Grace), Gracie Paoletti (Jordan), Tiffany Mullen (Tyler), Alida Lynn Walter, Hayley Brett Mullen, Sean David Wilbourn, Coleman Mullen and Isobel Mullen and one great-great niece, Morgan Alise.
Pallbearers were Chris Mullen, Dustin Mullen, Jordan Simmons and C.W. Taylor.
