Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksdale for Robert L. Grayson, former mayor of Tutwiler, who died on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. The viewing will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Tutwiler City Hall.
Mr. Grayson was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Robert Grayson and Mrs. Rosie Grayson celebrated 39 years of marriage until her passing on Oct. 2, 2014. They had two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Shelia Hawkins (Michael Hawkins), Ms. Daven Grayson, Robert Gordon, Contrassies (Travis) Grayson, Corey Grayson and Jarvious Grayson (Adrian Grayson). They have seven grandchildren, JaMichael Hawkins (Taniya Hawkins) Justin Hawkins, Khari Grayson, Kayden Grayson, Aubrey Grayson, Kensley Grayson and Hailey Grayson and four great grandchildren, Skye Hawkins, Kash Hawkins (Transition), Jai Hawkins and Aja Hawkins.
