Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Robert Earl Voyles, 83, of Grenada, who died on Tuesday, Jan. 30, in Grenada. The committal service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, in Union Cemetery in Hightown. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday, Feb. 4, at McKibben and Guinn.
Robert was born on July 15, 1940, in Calhoun County, the son of the late Robert Eldridge and the late Mayford Frances Reynolds Voyles. He was a retired truck driver and served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Grenada.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Scottie Ann Voyles; one son, Ronnie Voyles, and four sisters, Ruby Martin, Ruth Baker, Linda McMahan and Shirley Melton, preceded Robert in death.
Survivors include, one son, Terry Voyles (Lesa) of Millington, Tenn.; two sisters, Barbara Little of Grenada and Celeste Jackson (Danny) of Carroll County; his brother, Jerry Voyles of Texas; three grandchildren, Ricky Voyles, Bryan Voyles and Dylan Voyles, and four great grandchildren, Alicia Voyles, Hailey Turner, Matthew Voyles and Emma Voyles.
