Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at the Goshen Chapel near Coffeeville for Mr. Robert Dion Fly, 57, of Cascilla, who died on Thursday, Feb. 15, in Eupora. Burial followed in Goshen Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Smith officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service on Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Goshen Chapel.
Dion was born on Aug. 25, 1966, the son of the late Robert Earl and the late Rosa Lynn Jeffreys Fly. He worked for a number of years at Heatcraft in Grenada and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Fly also enjoyed participating in and supporting 4-H activities as well as spending all the time he could with his grandchildren. He lent a hand to anyone that needed it. He was a hard worker who always put others before himself. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
Survivors include, his daughters, Felicia Roseann Love (Bobby) of Eupora and Bridgette Raven Fly; son, Robert Jack Fly (Kaileigh) of Cascilla; brothers, Calvin Hood of Carroll County and Phillip Fly (Linda) of Gore Springs; nine grandchildren, Leslie Love, Harper Love, Hailey Love, Lindsey Love, Elena Fly, Ezra-Rayan Fly, Ebaa-Stormie Fly, Nashton Fly and Illia Fly; uncles, Danny Kerr, Johnny Fly and Lynn Allen Fly; niece, Ashley Braxton, and nephews, Derrick Fly, Dillon Hood and Hunter Hood.
Pallbearers were Jeff Fly, Terry Malone, Chris Russell, Will Shankle, Dawson Smith and Donnie Sultan. Honorary pallbearers were Derrick Fly, Phillip Fly, Calvin Hood, Daniel Kerr, Bobby Love and Royce Rosemond.
