A private family burial was recently held in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County for Mrs. Rita Ann Milam Williamson, 71, of Hephzibah, Ga., formerly of Grenada, who died on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at her residence.
Rita was born on Sept. 17, 1954, in Virginia, the daughter of the late Curtis E. and the late Florence Adams Milam. She worked for a number of years in the hospitality industry and enjoyed reading, painting, sewing and knitting in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Yancy Williamson; one sister, Cathy Austin, and two brothers, Curtis Milam and Jack Milam, preceded Rita in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Michael Cole, Terry Williamson of Grenada and Tracy Williamson of Hephzibah, Ga.; one sister, Judy Collins of Grenada; one brother, Frank Milam of Grenada and four grandchildren, Tara Williamson, Brandon Williamson, Ann Robinson and Terry Robinson.
