Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Scotland Baptist Church in Winona for Willie Mae Carpenter, 79, of Judsonia, Ark., formerly of Winona, who died on Monday, Sept. 19, in Judsonia, Ark. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Trosper officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Friday, Sept. 23, at the church.
Ms. Carpenter was born on April 24, 1943, in Calhoun City, the daughter of Edgar Louis and Audrey Parker White. She was a member of Scotland Baptist Church in Winona.
Survivors include, her daughter, Olivia Dawn Henson of Judsonia, Ark.; sons, Bill Carpenter (Susan) of Winona and Gary Carpenter (Stacey) of Chester, S.C.; sister, Lillie Ann Walls of North Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Scotland Baptist Church, 725 Scotland Rd., Winona, MS 38967.
