Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church in Charleston for Vicki Lynn Bradley Lavender, who recently died. Burial will follow in Charleston Cemetery. Bro. Joe Young will officiate. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, at Womble Funeral Home in Charleston.
Vicki was born on Jan. 15, 1951, in Jackson, the daughter of the late James Harold and the late Marcella Bradley. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Charleston.
In addition to her parents, her brother, James Harold “Jim” Bradley Jr., and one sister, Sandra Bradley Bishop, preceded Vicki in death.
Survivors include, her husband of 54 years, David Lavender; daughters, Cindy Burch (Damon Stroud), Laura Kathryn “Kaky” Tindle (Sheriff Tom Tindle) and Merideth Pope (Rev. Terry Pope); one sister, Dixie Bradley Franks of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister-in-law; one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Faith Baptist Church Food Pantry or Samaritans Purse.
Womble Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
