Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona for Mrs. Mamie Lois Felts Curtis, 99, of Winona, who died on Sunday, Sept. 17, in Vaiden. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Brian Gordon officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday, Sept. 22, at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Curtis was born on Sept. 5, 1924, in McCarley, the daughter of the late Charles Conrad and the late Carrie Durham Felts. She was a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, George Holmes Curtis, and siblings, Walter Hill Felts, Marion Luther Felts and Edward Felts, preceded Mrs. Curtis in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Carolyn Curtis Bowles (Jack) of Winona; son, Clifton Curtis (Cathy) of Starkville and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Moore Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 467, Winona, MS 38967 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
