Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at Womble Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston for Leon Alexander Williams, 100, who died on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Pontotoc. Burial followed in Poplar Springs Cemetery near Cascilla. Bro. Ricky Cook officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Womble Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Leon was born on Dec. 14, 1922, daughter of the late Martha Elizabeth Pittman and the late William James Alexander.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond Lance; four brothers, and eight sisters, preceded Mrs. Leon in death.
Survivors include, her son, Bobby Lance of Pontotoc; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 35 great-great grandchildren.
