A Celebration of Life Service was held from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, in the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada for Kirkelin “Kirk” Lee McIntyre, 66, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Aug. 31, at his residence.
Kirk was born on May 9, 1958, in Greenwood. He was employed as a machine operator at Modine until his retirement. He played baseball and football at Holmes Junior College where he received an associate degree in agriculture and business. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His father, Curtis L. McIntyre, preceded Kirk in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Lauren McIntyre (Steven Hobbs) of Grenada; his son, Austin McIntyre (Justine) of Yuma, Ariz.; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Richard Lamatia of West Monroe, La., and seven grandchildren, Madison Hobbs, Hayden Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, Jordan Hobbs, Brody McIntyre, Blaze Seibel and Teigan Seibel.
