A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel for James Jeffery Plummer Jr., 26, of Cleveland, who died on Tuesday, March 15, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday, March 18, at Cleveland Funeral Home.
Jeffery was born on July 16, 1995, in Clarksdale, the son of James Jeffery Plummer Sr. and Amy Clemons Plummer. He graduated from Bayou Academy in 2014, and had also attended The University of Mississippi. He worked in lawn care for many years; he enjoyed working outside. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. During his high school years, Jeffery excelled in sports. His memory will be cherished by his many friends and family.
Survivors include, his mother, Amy Clemons Plummer of Cleveland; father, James Jeffery Plummer Sr. (Julie) of Winona; siblings, Hayley Horn Brooks (Matthew) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jamie Alise Plummer of Cleveland, Aubrey Plummer of Cleveland, Kent Plummer of Columbus and Lakon Plummer Evans of Charleston; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Kay Plummer of Winona; maternal grandparents, James and Judy Clemons of Benoit and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers are American Legion Post 52 of Winona, Landon Tindle, Jett Plummer, Chandler Van, J.J. Plummer, Matthew Brooks and Kent Plummer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Blair Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216.
