Memorial service plans are private for Mr. Donald Martin “Donny” Ledford, 66, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Oxford.
Donny was born on Aug. 2, 1957, in Grenada, the son of Daniel Henry and Shirley Durham Ledford. He had worked as an electrician for more than 40 years and loved to work on and fix anything electronic. He also enjoyed searching for and collecting arrowheads and any type of unusual rocks.
Donny was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he had the time. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar. He enjoyed worshiping with other believers at Lakewood Independent Methodist Church. Donny honorably served our country in the United States Army and later in the Mississippi Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Ledford; his daughters, Brandi Ledford of Columbus, Ohio, and Brittany Ledford of Austin, Texas; mother, Shirley Ledford of Grenada; father, Daniel “Sonny” Ledford of Plant City, Fla., and a host of aunts and cousins.
