Memorial service plans are private for Mr. Donald Allison Halcomb, 62, of Grenada, who died on Friday, July 26, 2024, at his residence.
Don was born on May 5, 1962, in Kentucky, the son of the late James and Ann Ison Halcomb. He was a hard worker and well respected as a tool and die engineer. He had spent the last 23 years as the plant engineering manager at Ice Industries — formerly Grenada Stamping — in Grenada. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved to hunt and fish at every opportunity. He also had an expansive vegetable garden each year and loved to share the fruits of his labor. Don became a knowledgeable numismatist and thoroughly enjoyed studying and collecting old coins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, one son, Donald Reece, preceded Don in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Renee Halcomb; mother, Ann Halcomb of Nashville, Ind.; daughter, Tonya Coleman (Rob) of Thaxton; three sons, James Halcomb (Rachel) of Nashville, Ind., Ethan Halcomb (Rebekah) of Columbus, Ind., and Matthew Bush of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Tammy Johnson of Crawfordsville, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Kyla, Katie, Kenzie, Aubrey, Hayden, Presley, Oakley, Wyatt, Waylon and Weston and two great grandchildren, Sonny and Brooklynn.
