Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Mrs. Dessie Mae Green Jefcoat, 87, of Winona, who died on Monday, Nov. 20, in Grenada. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Bro. Danny Rosamond officiated. Visitation was held from noon until service time on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jefcoat was born on Aug. 8, 1936, the daughter of the late David Alvin and the late Mary Elizabeth Gooden Green. She was a member of Scotland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, William Fred Jefcoat, and siblings, Edmond Green, Willis Green, Wilburn Green, Jack Green, Coleman Green, Erma Dean Green, Mattie Tucker, James Green and David Green, preceded Mrs. Jefcoat in death.
Survivors include, her sister, Clyde Lee Thomas (James) of Grenada and sister-in-love, Robbie Green of Kilmichael.
