A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Danny L. Ruth, 57, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, Nov. 30, at his residence. His son, the Rev. Danny Ruth, officiated. Family and friends gathered one hour prior to the service on Sunday, Dec. 3, at McKibben and Guinn.
Danny was born on Feb. 21, 1966, in Grenada, the son of Albert and Bonnie Costilow Ruth. He worked for many years delivering propane for Graeber Bros. and made countless friends through his work. He was a firearms enthusiast and was very skilled in martial arts.
Danny was a devoted family man and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking and looked forward to any opportunity he had to grill out with his loved ones. A skilled conversationalist, Danny will long be remembered for having “the gift of gab” and being able to put those in his presence at ease.
His father, Albert Ruth, and his brothers, Dennis Ruth, Darrin Ruth and Derwin Ruth, preceded Danny in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Jessica Barbee Ruth; sons, the Rev. Danny Ruth (Carlye) of Florence and Nicolas Ruth of Grenada; mother, Bonnie Ruth of Grenada; sister, Debbie Ruth of Grenada; sister-in-law, Lisa Barbee Nooe (Grant) of Brandon; three grandchildren, Liam Ruth, Samuel Ruth and Nora Ruth, along with four nephews.
