Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Holcomb for Cynthia Denise Brown-Kountz, 68, who died on Friday, Oct. 18, in Oxford.
Cynthia was born on July 10, 1956, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Willie Luther and the late Mae Ruth Brown. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, two brothers, Demetri Bland and Glen Brown, preceded Cynthia in death.
Survivors include, two sons, John Luther Kountz (Nikesha) of Madison, Wis., and Alando Brown (Alisha) of Detroit, Mich.; her sister, Vanetta Brown of Duck Hill; two brothers, Larry Brown (Mary) of Grenada and Bobby Brown of St. Paul, Minn.; her sisters-in-law, Lucille Bland of Kilmichael and Shirley Brown of Grenada; two granddaughters; her special friend, James Earl Cunningham, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
