A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Carl Emil Hettich, 75, of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Nov. 11, at his residence. The Rev. John Goldwater and Bro. Hayden Wiggins will officiate. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service on Monday, Nov. 27, at McKibben and Guinn.
Carl was born on Dec. 23, 1947, in Ocean Port, NJ, the son of the late Robert C. and the late Grace Reves Hettich. He honorably served our country in the United States Army and United States Air Force. While in service, Carl perfected his skills as a radio operator and later worked as a radio announcer. Prior to retirement, he worked in management at an auto parts store and was proud to have obtained his pilot’s license. He was a member of Christ Community Church.
In addition to his parents, two sons, Jon Hettich and Eric Hettich; one daughter, Morgan Vickers; his sister, Arlene Barrow, and one brother, Steven Ray Doster, preceded Carl in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Janis Hettich of Grenada; two sons, Terry Hettich (Kelly) of High Point, N.C., and James Hettich of Florida; two daughters, Tammy Griffin (Bo) and Tonya Wiggins (David), all of Grenada; one brother, Randy Hettich of Alabama; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
