Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, in Red Hill Cemetery near Duck Hill for Mrs. Arma Glyn Caffey Martin, 91, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Sept. 17, in Grenada.
Arma Glyn was born on Dec. 10, 1931, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Malcom and the late Jodie Dunlap Caffey. She was a kindergarten teacher for many years and was blessed with the gift of relating to children, and helping them to flourish. A devoted homemaker, she was a skilled seamstress, made many quilts through the years and will long be remembered for the exquisite feasts that she prepared for her family.
Arma Glyn’s faith was paramount to her and was evidenced in her daily life as she was a model pastor’s wife, having worked alongside her husband during his very fruitful and effective ministry. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada.
In addition to her parents, her husband, the Rev. William Everette Martin; two sons, Larry Everette Martin and Glenn Allen Martin, and seven siblings, preceded Arma Glyn in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Camille Chapman of Ridgeland; one son, Tony Martin of Counce, Tenn.; one sister, Ivy Marter of Grenada; six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
