Nelda Ward Taylor

Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, in Red Hill Cemetery for Mrs. Nelda Ward Taylor, 68, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, in Grenada.  

Nelda was born on Dec. 4, 1952, in Pittsboro. She spent the greatest portion of her working life in insurance and real estate. She had also worked as a beautician early in her life. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Nelda will be remembered for her loving spirit as she nurtured and was a mother figure to so many through the years.

Her mother, Zona Dover Waldrip; father, Q.T. Ward; daughter, Leigh Taylor, and two brothers, Paul Ward and Odom Ward, preceded Nelda in death.

Survivors include, her husband, Curtis L. Taylor; daughter, Carrie Taylor Blakely (Damon) of Duck Hill; sister, Barbara Hobgood of Oxford; six grandchildren, Devin Cooper (Anna), Jessica Parks (Drew), Taylor Heineck, Curtis Heineck, Belle Kennedy and Jackson Kennedy and nine great grandchildren.

 

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Providence Assisted Living and Adoration Hospice for all of the love and special care extended to Nelda and the family during this difficult time.
