Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at Womble Funeral Home Chapel for Jimmie Sue Rhea, 88, of Charleston, who died on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, in Oxford. Burial followed in Spring Hill Cemetery near Oakland. Visitation was held one hour prior to services. The Rev. Ricky Harris officiated.
Jimmie was born in Charleston on April 16, 1932.
Her parents, Lena Moore Harvey and Thomas Ervin Harvey; husband, Vance Rhea; sister, Myrtice Edwards (Charles, deceased) and one nephew, Donnie Edwards, preceded Jimmie in death.
Survivors include, a niece; Susan Howe (Butch) of Coffeeville; a nephew; Wayne Edwards (Dorothy) of Grenada and a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church, 1294 Spring Hill Rd., Oakland, MS. 38948
