The Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities currently has two grant opportunities available for non-profit, for-profit, education, or government organizations. A Request for Proposals for one-year grants starting July 1, 2023, and an Innovative Quality of Life Grant Application for three-month grants starting April 1, 2023, are available at www.mscdd.org Approximately $525,000 is available to fund 10 or more projects.
Projects should feature new ideas to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Examples include developing self-advocacy and leadership skills; demonstrating new approaches or access to services, such as employment, transportation, housing, health, education, early intervention, recreation, and other community supports; or providing training or resources to people with developmental disabilities, families, or professionals to meet their needs, such as for planning for future care of aging adults with developmental disabilities.
