The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, January 11, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow will be another quiet weather day in terms of
precipitation across the majority of the nation. There can
be some showers in opposite corners of the country, in both
the far Northwest and South Florida. The coldest air of the
season thus far is expected to flow into the Northeast as
lake-effect snow showers begin to come to an end. This
extreme cold can be dangerous for outdoor activities. Behind
this push of cold air, the western Great Lakes and northern
Plains will turn slightly less cold, but in the Southeast,
chilly conditions will reach the Atlantic Ocean. Tomorrow
night, rain will pick up across the far Northwest, but most
of the nation will generally remain dry as cold weather
continues along the Atlantic coast.
