The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, June 1, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm system will allow for more thunderstorms to develop
tomorrow, stretching from far northern Texas and Oklahoma,
across the Ohio Valley and to Pennsylvania and upstate New
York. Some of these storms may turn severe, especially in
the Plains and from Ohio eastward. Hail and damaging winds
will be the main hazards, though a tornado or two is also
possible. From Oklahoma to Missouri and Arkansas, flooding
will continue to be a concern with repeated rounds of rain.
Additional rain is expected across the central Plains from
Kansas and Nebraska, westward to the Front Range of the
Rockies. High heat will continue in much of the Northeast
and mid-Atlantic, with highs approaching 90 degrees
Fahrenheit in many areas. However, cooling marine breezes
will keep the temperature lower in New England.
