NATIONAL SUMMARY
Locally drenching thunderstorms may rumble in much of New
England tomorrow. Thunderstorms will be most concentrated
in central and eastern South Dakota, Nebraska, central and
southern Minnesota and Iowa. Thunderstorms will expand into
Wisconsin and Michigan during the afternoon hours. Primarily
afternoon thunderstorms will dot the central and southern
Rockies. Meanwhile, tropical rainfall will continue to
drench portions of central and South Texas. A couple of
showers and a thunderstorm are expected in much of Florida
as tropical moisture streams westward. Much of the Ohio
Valley and Northeast will continue to experience intense
heat, with some locations likely to tie or break record
highs once again. Highs will also be above average in the
Southwest, although falling short of records.
