NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours, hail and
damaging wind gusts from southeastern Wisconsin to
northeastern Texas and eastward to the Carolinas tomorrow.
Farther north, rain with embedded thunderstorms will roll
through Minnesota and northern and central Wisconsin. In the
colder air, a mix of rain and snow is expected during the
morning hours in north-central North Dakota. Afternoon
thunderstorms will dot the Sierra Nevada. Showers will
dampen portions of Washington and northern Oregon. Afternoon
thunderstorms will occur in much of northern Montana. In the
Southwest, gusty winds, low humidity and dry brush will
result in a high fire threat in New Mexico and eastern
Arizona. A few afternoon showers will dampen northwestern
Maine, but most of New England will be dry.
