The Nation's Weather for Saturday, December 23, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm in the Southwest will combine with another in the
Northwest tomorrow, bringing snow across portions of the
Rockies. This will also usher cooler air into the region,
and temperatures can be 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit lower than
today. However, readings will still be above the historical
averages for Dec. 23. Farther east, showers and
thunderstorms will develop in the southern Plains as these
storms travel to the east. Areas of drizzle and even some
steadier rain will fall across parts of the Great Lakes as
well as in the Upper Midwest, and some rain and drizzle can
spread into the interior Northeast late. Besides a spotty
shower in southeastern Florida, much of the Southeast will
be dry with mild conditions continuing as an area of high
pressure remains over the region.
